[US ITC launches Section 337 investigation into specific mobile electronic devices Lenovo and Motorola are listed as defendants] On April 28, the US International Trade Commission (ITC) voted to launch a Section 337 investigation into specific mobile electronic devices. On March 30, Japan’s Maxell, Ltd. of Japan filed a 337 investigation application with the U.S. ITC, claiming that the product exported to the U.S., imported in the U.S. and sold in the U.S. infringed its patent rights, and requested the U.S. ITC to issue a limited exclusion order, restraining order. Lenovo Group Ltd. of Beijing, China Lenovo Group, Lenovo (United States) Inc. of Morrisville, NC, and Motorola Mobility LLC of Libertyville, IL are listed defendants.
