[US stocks closed up on Friday] At the close – January 20 , 2023

[US stocks closed up on Friday] At the close of trading on Friday, the Nasdaq rose 2.66%, the S&P 500 rose 1.85%, and the Dow rose 1.00%. The rise in technology stocks led the market to recover, recovering some of the losses earlier this week. This week, the Nasdaq closed up 0.55%, the S&P 500 still fell 0.66%, and the Dow still fell 2.70%.
