The Federal Reserve Bank of New Zealand: It is proposed to relax the mortgage ratio (LVR, loan-to-value ratio) restrictions on owner-occupiers, and to relax the proportion of new loans with LVR higher than 80% to 15% (originally 10%), and to increase LVR higher than 60%. The proportion of new loan volume adjusted for 5% to LVR above 65%. A consultation with registered banks will take place over the next two weeks on implementing the proposal to ease LVR restrictions.
