What is RDV?
Because RDV is an acronym, it can have many meanings. It is generally believed that in the financial world, it refers to Rough Venture Capital, which is a student team empowering student startups.
Rough Draft Ventures(RDV)
Rough Draft Ventures, a group of students working with General Catalyst, is creating and developing one of the biggest networks of student entrepreneurs. Nearly 150 firms were supported by Rough Draft Ventures, 550 jobs were generated, and businesses were able to finance over $230 million.
How Does RDV Work?
Backed by General Catalyst, Rough Draft Ventures is a student team that helps college students go from creating a “draft” to a startup by investing at the earliest stages. They support student-led teams with up to $25,000 in funding and provide access to a community of peers, experienced mentors, alumni and investors to help their startups take their startups to the next level. Decisions are led by a team of college students dedicated to encouraging tech entrepreneurship and building a community of student founders.
