In the world of cryptocurrencies, some exchanges can be very difficult to trade on because of insufficient liquidity. This can cause high prices and errors when a trader tries to complete a transaction.
How do we fix insufficient liquidity errors for the Uniswap trade? There are normally two solutions – either switching PancakeSwap from V2 to the old version V1 or changing the slippage tolerance to complete the transaction.
How do I change my slippage on Uniswap?
Slippage tolerance refers to the amount of movement on a given version of the app. The higher the tolerance, the more room for error in your design. For example, if you have a slider with a low slippage tolerance and it slides too far to one end, it will crash.
If you’re still getting the error message after switching the version of PancakeSwap to V1 (old), you can try increasing your slippage tolerance. You can do this by going to Settings > General and selecting “Increase Slippage Tolerance.”
When you tap on the Settings icon, you will be prompted with a pop-up. You’ll see three percentages that you can choose from, including 0.1%, 0.5%, and 1%. These slippage tolerances are too low for new tokens.
To fix the errors, you just increase this slippage tolerance percentage by inputting “12%” or above on the field.
Try to swap the tokens again, and the insufficient liquidity error should be fixed this time.
How to fix “Insufficient Liquidity For This Trade” on PancakeSwap
PancakeSwap is a peer-to-peer trading platform for cryptocurrencies that allows users to trade coins with other users in real-time, without any fees.
The issue of insufficient liquidity was resolved by using the V1 (old) exchange instead of the V2. The old platform had a much larger order book and more liquidity, which made it easier to trade on.
To fix “Insufficient Liquidity For This Trade” on PancakeSwap, you need to use the V1 (old) exchange instead of the V2.
We guide you through how to switch PancakeSwap from V2 to the old V1 now.
Firstly, You go straight to the DApps tab and open PancakeSwap if you have TrustWallet installed on mobile devices. If you haven’t installed it yet, you have to visit PancakeSwap.finance website instead.
Next, you should connect the Wallet by tapping the “Connect Wallet” button and authorize the connection with PancakeSwap.
On the new interface, you will see two version buttons V2 and V1(old) if you scroll down to the bottom of the screen. Click on the V1(old) button to complete the version switching.
Then you have to reconnect your Trust Wallet by unlocking it first. On the “Connect to a Wallet” pop-up, select your wallet, Trust Wallet, to set up the reconnection.
Finally, you can go ahead to start the new tokens swapping on PancakeSwap V1 version after the new connection is authorized.
Swapping with the old V1 PancakeSwap, you won’t have any error of the “Insufficient Liquidity For This Trade” .
Change the Network Connection Setting
In some cases, your internet connection might be the culprit that is causing the “insufficient liquidity for this trade” error on the PancakeSwap, so try changing things up to see if it solves the problem.
If you’re currently connected to a WiFi network, switch to your mobile network and vice versa. If you’re on mobile with no access to a WiFi connection, the quickest option is to try switching to your second mobile network (for phones with multiple SIM cards) and swap the token on any of these exchanges.
Also, if you’re using a VPN connection and have tried swapping your tokens again, there is a chance that this will fix the error on your end. Many people have reported that this is a common solution to fixing the error so it might also work for you.
